In 2017/18 USQ FC will be introducing USQ FC over 35's
At USQ FC we try to offer everyone the chance to play football, no matter what age, sex or background. With USQ FC and Toara Park also hhosting Toowoomba Supa Oldies, this is the perfect opportunity for us to grow.
USQ FC hopes that this will be the first of many over 35's teams that USQ will be entering into the competition and hope that the first year will see a first win for USQ FC.

Football Queensland South West - Over 35’s Competition.
Welcome to the inaugural Over 35’s football competition for 2018. The competition will be held every Friday night at a Toowoomba football venue coordinated through participating clubs over a 6-week period from 2nd February 2018 – 9th March 2018.
The aim of the competition is to provide a football outlet for parents, players, ex-players, coaches, co-workers, in fact anyone over the age of 35 to enjoy the game. Also, FQSW will use the competition as a training forum for newly qualified Referees to give them the experience and understanding in officiating games, which in turn will increase the number of Referees for The Toowoomba Football League.
Football Queensland South West will provide all the aspects of running and promoting the Over 35’s season.
Football Queensland South West responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
- Provide a schedule and draw for the 6-week season.
- Coordinate venues for all games and pay for use of venues
- Update and maintain website and any other forms of notification for the weekly competition.
- Notify team officials of any changes to schedule with as much notice.
- Provide all necessary paperwork for the weekly running of the competition.
- Provide qualified Referees for scheduled games and pay referees.
- All Officials will officiate to the FIFA Laws of the Game.
- Football Queensland South West has a Zero Tolerance Policy. Any player, spectator, visitor or team that is involved in any fighting, either inside the facility or its car park will be ejected from the venue and banned from playing or attending in further competitions.
The Participants shall be responsible throughout the competition for and agree to the following:
- Make sure you have paid your registration fees of $50 in full by the due date.
- Comply with the FIFA Laws of the Game
- To respect the principals of Fair Play and Code of Behaviour and Code of Ethics
- To participate throughout the entire season.
- Be responsible for the Conduct of the team, players, match officials, team officials, and spectators and of any person carrying out duties on its behalf throughout the competition from the arrival at the venue until their departure.
- Ensure the team arrives 15 min prior to the commencement of the team’s match. All matches will commence as scheduled with a minimum of 7 players.
- Ensure all players are wearing and supply the appropriate team uniform. If teams have a colour clash, then the first named team on the draw will wear a bib for the duration of the game. The decision to wear a bib will be at the discretion of the match referee.
Registration & Match Fees
- All players must self-register through My Football Club (MFC)
- $50 per person (Minimum 12 players per team – Maximum 16 players)
- This fee includes Hire of venue/lights $15pp, Referees payments $10pp, FQ Social Rego Fee $15pp and FQSW Admin fee $10pp = $50.00 per player.
- Players must have paid fees to be eligible to commence playing in the competition
- NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN WHATSOEVER ONCE THE LEAGUE HAS COMMENCED REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER OF GAMES PLAYED.

Player injury insurance is covered by the Football Queensland Insurance Program.
Should you be injured during a game, please ensure the injury is recorded on the team sheet.
Details of the insurance cover can be viewed on the Football Queensland Website. If you wish to make a claim, please register your claim with Gow Gates Insurance Brokers via the FQ website.
List of Players
- Each team must have a minimum of 12 registered players per team. The maximum is 16 players.
- Players are only permitted to play in the team in which they have nominated to play for.
- A Team Sheet is required to be filled in for each game & submitted to the Referee.
- There will be NO switching of players between teams.
- Players must be from the List of Players provided by the Team at the start of the competition.
- There are unlimited substitutions.
- A Match may not start if either team consists of fewer than seven (7) players.
- The Team Officials must behave in a responsible manner.
- Team Officials/Managers are responsible for but not limited to the following: o Complete all paperwork regarding registration into the FQSW office
- Act as the centralised point of communication between FQSW and the Team
- Notifying the team of the playing times and venues
- Inform the team of any changes
- Ensure the team arrives 15 min prior to the commencement of their match.
- Ensure that fair play is upheld so that the safety of the team is maintained
- Handle all issues, disputes, complaints, protests on behalf of the team.
- All complaints must be in writing, completed ONLY by a team official (not parent or player) in the prescribed form.
- The basic compulsory equipment shall consist of an identical jersey or shirt, shorts, socks, shin pads and footwear.
- Players who are not compliant with the FIFA Laws of the Game in terms of Players Equipment (including Jewellery, uniform and undergarments) will not be able to participate in the match until they are compliant.
Rules for Over 35’s
- The match shall last two (2) equal periods of thirty (30) minutes with a five (5) minute half-time period.
- The game will be played in accordance with the FIFA Laws of the Game with the following exceptions;
- No slide tackles allowed – sliding to intercept a pass or keep the ball in play is allowed if it does not endanger the safety of another player.
- Offside – can only be committed in the ‘Offside Zone’ which is the last 25 metres of each half. The ‘Offside Zone’ will be identified with markers across the field.
- Substitutes will be used in a ‘roll on, roll off’ manner but must be made at the half way line. There will be NO on field goalkeeper changeovers.
- Referees will be appointed by Football Queensland South West. These Referees will be newly qualified and the Over 35’s competition will be used as a training environment for the development and progression of these officials.
- All teams must supply an Assistant Referee for their specified games, as listed on the schedule. Failure to supply an Assistant Referee for their specified games, will incur a deduction of 3 points for their team.
- All yellow cards issued will result in the player being sent from the field of play for a 5 minute ‘Sin Bin.” The player receiving the yellow card maybe replaced immediately by a substitute. If a player receives a 2nd yellow card in the match, then they will receive a Red Card as per the FIFA Laws of the Game.
- A player that receives a red card during a match must leave the playing area and not remain on the substitute’s bench.
- A player receiving a straight red card will receive an automatic one (1) match suspension.
- Football Queensland South West reserve the right to ask a player sent from the field of play for any reason to face a Disciplinary Committee.
- A player has the right to appeal a decision made by the Disciplinary Committee. The appeal must be made in writing and addressed to the Appeals Committee c/- Football Queensland South West together with a fee of one hundred ($100) dollars.
Disciplinary Sanctions for Team Officials / Spectators
- Team Officials and Spectators are to act in a responsible manner
- Team Officials and Spectators are subject to the FFA Code of Behaviour and Code of Ethics.
- If they are deemed to be in breach of these codes, they may be asked to leave the Field of Play (for Team Officials) and / or the Venue (for both Team Officials and Spectators).
Forfeits relate to the following;
- Teams that can’t produce seven (7) registered players on the field of play in full strip ready to play at the scheduled kick off time.
- Teams forfeiting a match will lose the game 3-0.
Players Code of Behaviour
- Play by the rules.
- Never argue with a referee or official. If you disagree, have your captain, coach or manager approach the official during a break or after the competition. Remember the rule book states the referee is always right.
- Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials and sledging other players, deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent are not acceptable or permitted behaviour in any sport.
- Work equally hard for yourself and/or your team. Your team’s performance will benefit, and so will you.
- Be a good sport. Applaud all good plays, whether they are made by your team or the opposition.
- Treat all participants in your sport as you like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor.
- Cooperate with your coach, team-mates and opponents. Without them there would be no competition.
- Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit, not just to please parents and coaches.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
- Show appreciation for volunteer coaches, officials and administrators. Without them, your child could not participate.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
Spectator Code of Behaviour
A spectator present at a Match or otherwise involved in any activity staged or sanctioned by FFA or an affiliated Member Federation, District Association or Club must:
- Respect the decisions of Match Officials and teach children to do the same and never ridicule or unduly scold a child for making a mistake.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, race, colour, religion, language, and politics, national or ethnic origin.
- Not use violence in any form, whether it is against other spectators, Team Officials (including coaches), Match Officials or Players.
- Not engage in discrimination, harassment or abuse in any form, including the use of obscene or offensive language or gestures, the incitement of hatred or violence or Part taking in indecent or racist chanting.
- Comply with any terms of entry of a venue, including bag inspections, prohibited and restricted items such as flares, missiles, dangerous articles and items that have the potential to cause injury or public nuisance.
- Do not attempt to, bring into a venue national or political flags or emblems (except for the recognized national flags of any of the competing teams) or offensive or inappropriate banners, whether written in English or a foreign language.
- Do not throw items onto the field or enter the field of play without permission of referee.
- Always conduct yourself in a manner that enhances the reputation and goodwill of Futsal.
Any person who does not comply with this Spectator Code of Behaviour or who otherwise causes a disturbance may be evicted from a venue and banned from attending future Matches.
