Aim:
Preparoos is a volunteer based football program for kids aged 3-5. It is non-competitive and will focus on the kids being active listeners and participants, in preparation for MINI ROOS. Play-based sessions will introduce the sport of football to newcomers in an inclusive way and will encourage being active, making friends, teamwork, new skills and potentially unleash the next generation of SOCCER ROO OR MATILDA football stars!
About:
The sessions will run on Saturdays (commencing 25th July) at 9:30am and will run for approximately an hour. The program will initially run until the end of term 3 at which time we will reflect on the season in order to plan for the future. This is a volunteer run program which means there are no fees, although USQ Club Uniforms are available for purchase (and look great on the little ones!). We ask parents and friends who have an interest or knowledge in football to volunteer, offer help or give feedback. At the moment, we are only accepting the first ten kids to enrol until we become more aware of what the community needs and expects. At the end of the season, we will reevaluate and possibly change numbers.
Rules:
- hat and sunscreen
- there must be a responsible adult present for each child
Covid:
During this trying time, there are a few rules that must be followed and we appreciate your involvement in these in order to keep us all safe.
- off field physical distancing must be adhered to
- mandatory tracking of all people present, including spectators, will take place before your child takes the field
